The introduction to Urban Earth was made via the client. The plan for how the pool sits within the landscape is always a huge factor in the overall aesthetics and getting the right people appointed to harmoniously and sympathetically dress the pool into an existing, period property is never easy. From the outset, Influences and themes ranging from old English rose gardens to more contemporary Mediterranean were discussed and the feeling of elasticity within the scope to allow development throughout the design period and even onsite was always evident. The design collaboration between Clear water revivals, Roberto Trappaso and Martin Skuse of Urban Earth allowed both teams to fully understand where responsibilities lay meaning the project was delivered on time.  Considering it was a first for UE to incorporate a pool and provide all relevant services to the plant room, the interrogation and strategy for success was unparalleled and even delivered a living roof – a first for one of our plantrooms!
